Night Flying and Instrument Practice with Darin.

Although cold, the weather has been fantastic this week. I texted Darin today and we decided to meet at the airport about 5pm for some night flying.

Just fueled up.

I'm finding it pretty hard to take decent night pictures.

We didn't end up really flying anywhere but both got a lot of instrument practice while taking turns wearing the hood.

After wearing the hood for about a 1/2 hour each, we decided to shoot the GPS approach to Runway 34 at Pierce County. I did it once and then Darin gave it a shot.

What a great flight! It was scenic, there was no traffic to speak of, and the Seattle Approach controllers seemed excited just to talk to someone.
